Dagger board chafe during trailering

Noticed some chafe on the dagger board.  See attached.  The open 57 guys showed me that they install a wedge between the board and trunk on each side from the bottom when trailering to prevent trunk/board rubbing damage.  Is this the result of sand in the well while trailering? Any other reports of this?

Make sure trunk is clean. Also, Intensity has some cool keel chocks that bolt in from the top that are mfg'd by one of our own down under. I used wedges prior to the chocks but they come out.

Thanks for the intensity heads up.  I'll report back on chock performance.

Hoping the chocks are working properly for everyone.

If there are any tweaks anyone would like to see happen drop me a line.

I have trailered from San Diego to the Canadian border and back with no chafe problem since using the chocks and making sure I flush the well clean.

That is good news, I actually haven't even made myself a set yet. :)

Note to self, make a set of keel chocks for own boat :)
