Our PHRF number factors in the lack of an engine.  So no protest is possible.

Bennett Yachting has a base you can use on the center foot ridge.  I think everyone that went with the floor block eventually went with off the boom sheeting.  It really does work better once you are accustomed to it.

I use a plastic kite string winder and wind up the tail of the halyard and put it in the side pocket of the under deck bag.  Never an issue since I started with this.  I got it from Walmart with the cheap truing on it and took off the string.  Andy Walford had the idea originally.

We have 12 boats registered so far for our first winter series event in Sarasota Florida. For a number of us this is our boat's winter home and the Sarasota Sailing Squadron has really stepped up to earn our loyalty and get us to return for 15/16 already.  They WANT us there! We currently have 5 VX ones committed for summer 2013 in Newport. 2 more are seriously interested at the moment. We have a weekly series, the Newport regatta and 2 round Jamestown island races at the least planned.

I have now heard of 3 interested parties on Champlain.
