The Carbon Mast, Boom and Bow Sprit may be refinished and clearcoated to protect against UV damage. Minimal sanding to prepare the surface per technical guidelines issued by the manufacturer is allowed. 

The Technical Committee only approves the use of a clear UV protectant.  Awlgrip two-part or the like is recommended.  May only be clear. 

Anything more than surface prep sanding is prohibited.  Spars may not be sanded to change bend characteristics.

This is a clarification of VX One Class Rule C.9.9(b) PERMITTED ADDITIONS AND ALTERATIONS (17).

Main Halyard purchase up to 4:1 may be similar to jib halyard and mounted on the deck as shown, starboard side of the keel or may be attached to lifting eye on top of the keel plate. 

This base is machined or 3D printed and replaces the standard base on the Harken foredeck jib guide block.  Must be made out of black plastic or delrin.  This replacement base prevents the jib sail and spinnaker sheet snags in lieu of the duct tape and mylar covers.  This change to original supplied equipment is approved by the Technical Committee.
