VX One Discussions / Raptor / Soft Deck Options

Thinking about adding a soft deck to my VX. I know that Raptor makes a VX kit. Does anyone know if any of the other soft deck manufacturers have a VX pattern? I'm just trying to weigh my options.

The Atlas instrument by Vakaros.   For years we've known 'Distance to the starting line'. but now you can also have 'Time to line'. A big, big, big help in larger fleets.  Between buying & selling Vx's I ended up w two Atlas.   

You can have for $400.  Updated software, capable of accepting future updates.

No VX Ones in Ireland I'm afraid. We've been talking to Shane Hughes (North Sails) and Matt McGovern (Olympic 49er sailor/ coach) about taking boats over.

There are approximately 20 boats in GBR and another 20 in mainland Europe.

Greetings from Annapolis,

I have the only Vx on the Chesapeake Bay, so it's understandable some people decide on a Viper, particularly if they don't plan to travel to Sarasota, Charleston or Newport. But a friend knows the Vx is just a better boat. And he likes the fact of needing 160-ish less pounds of crew.

Approx how much does #135 weight?  Class minimum is near 565 pounds are you less than 585 pounds?

Starting with Opti in the 70's, I raced on Snipe, FD, R19, T10, 505, Lightning, T35. Some for years, some for a regatta or two. Vanguard 15 for the last 15 years, the recent 5 mostly solo cruising.

I am available in the Chicago area, both for racing and cruising / training. I have a flexible schedule, available weekdays or weekends, and can travel to regattas.

180lbs, 5-11, can hike.

Looking to crew on VX One for the Winter Series or just the Jan 16-17.I spend my winter in the Sarasota area from Lake Minnetonka, MN. I have crewed 3 times in the past at your VX One regattas and love your boat. I currently race my J22 at the top of the Fleet as well as laser and DN iceboat. I have crewed on a competitive E scow for 10 years as well as in Sarasota during the winter. I am competitive on a VX both 2 up or 3.
