This turned out to be a bit of a bust.  The wind was painfully light, and there was no Portsmouth fleet to sail against.   We sailed four "races" in our very own one-boat fleet and made the best of it, getting some good practice time in, and my family had a great time keeping cool at the club pool.

Ouch!  Sorry to hear that.

I'm sure Carl would be first in line to point out that the Portsmouth formulas don't even pretend to work for races that short!  I think they look for races to be 45 minutes to 1 hour duration.

* Three races are anticipated
- Party: 1730 (one entrant per registration, $5 each additional)

Sunday September 2nd - One design and Portsmouth classes
- Warning signal for first class: 0955
* Two races are anticipated
- Awards ceremony following racing

Monday September 3rd - PHRF Classes
- Late Registration: 1200-1330
- Competitor's meeting: 1340

Online registration is available on the US Sailing Regatta Network website (links below). One design and Portsmouth boats may register online through August 31st, and PHRF boats may register online through September 2nd. Anyone not registering online may register by mail (see NOR for registration form) or during the late registration periods (see schedule for times). Online registration for all classes is $25, and $30 for mail-in and late registrations. Please review the Notice of Race for more details.

GeneralInformation

It can be hot, but what better way to spend Labor Day than racing, followed by cooking out on the club's grills and taking a dip in the pool. This regatta usually features One-design and open Portsmouth classes on Saturday and Sunday. PHRF yachts generally race on Monday.

The 2012 Labor Day Regatta will be held on September 1st - 3rd. Please check back in August for more information.
