Title: Class speed record?

It would be a cool idea if the class established some formal rules for a class speed record. Maybe GPS and video, just a thought.

Tim Pitts seems to have the class record right now with a truly incredible top speed.

How about GPS max speed but with a track to confirm (Velocitek, TackTracker or similar).
My understanding is the latest claim of 28.4 / 27.5 has been retracted.

but will be gladly see rules around speed records

That is a real bummer, would have loved to see the 28 as a real number.
