Chesapeake Bay now has five or six Vx's and it's likely one could be chartered. Owner may not want to cough up his good set of sails, but I have a set of 2016 & a set of 2017 North's I could lend to your effort. Call or type. The Vx is one of the nicest boats I've ever sailed.

Ft. Worth North Americans are 12 days later. For those of you who aren't trekking to Ft. Worth, please consider Oct 6/8.  Excellent opportunity for us to showcase the Vx.  In the parking lot & starting line will be J-70's, Vipers, I-14, 5-0-5's. All of these are excellent prospects to sail/buy Vx's

My assumption is we'd want a two day, not three day regatta.

Recently bought #103 and want her to sail OFTEN in Newport, RI.  Would like to add a motor bracket for light air days. Who has experience/advice?

Approx. cost of bracket?
I assume it's detachable.

Annapolis is gradually building sport-boat momentum.  We've had approx 15 people test sail the Vx.   Need an older spinnaker for these demo tours.
If you have an old spinnaker you want to sell cheap, please contact me.

Throwing stuff into land fills doesn't make me feel great.  #116 Harken Topcover is quite faded & the primary zipper (starboard side: shroud to mast) is buggered up.   $50/OBO earns this cover. 
Possible uses:
    1) The zipper could be repaired, or simply sew a velcro closure. 
    2) If you have trees, berries or birds making your nice top cover dirty, use this to protect your better cover.      'Double bagging'
    3) Cut it up & make a BBQ cover.
    4) ?????

Really nice German man, a bit olde. .
Thus the Vx is for sale.  Vx has only sailed once & has the North sails have been only used once.
Basic package,  no electronics, no second set of sails. does not have padded cockpit floor. Trailer is excellent shape, no yard dolly.  Top cover but no bottom cover.
Moderately motivated seller,  listed on Yacht World for a too high $24,000.  Make offer.

Looks like I'm ending up w/ two sets of North racing sails.  My existing set is great,  approx 10 days of use, none in heavy air, so the jib hasn't flogged. Spinnaker all white.

I'm interested in the Vx, looks like a great boat. Living in Annapolis we don't expect to build a large fleet, but the Vx is a nice boat to sail.    Are you the original owner?   The Raptor/soft deck looks like a comfy addition. Is there a yard dolly w/ your boat?

Charleston Race Week is one of the best regattas on the East Coast & an excellent opportunity to build the Vx One class.
Racing is Friday April 21-Sunday April 23.  We are sailing out of Carolina Yacht Club in downtown Charleston. Entry fee is $500, w/ $100 early-bird discount if paid by January 30.
During Sarasota's January regatta the fleet liked the idea of recruiting an all-woman's team (or two) to race Charleston.  Obviously a team of College of Charleston woman would be good, and there are plenty of other skilled woman who could make a team.   Existing owners such as John Potter & David Guggenheim can provide boats.

Look at your schedule, our fleet would benefit from a solid turnout.

Looking to add another Vx to Annapolis.
Would like to buy used Vx, or even partner w/ a Chesapeake sailor w/ Vx.

It's likely Vx & Vipers will race one weeknight in Annapolis (Tuesday or Friday) and I also want to race Wednesday night races---w/ nearly 200 boats racing having a Vx blast around amongst the fleet is a great way to attract sailors fro the '
Etchells, J-80, J-70 & J-105 fleets, among others.
